Creative. Collaborative. Grounded.

Michaela is the counsellor for you if you’re feeling overwhelmed or underwhelmed by life and want support in processing your experiences safely. She loves working with people who are unsure about their reactions or emotions, breaking down confusing experiences into manageable pieces.

Michaela’s approach is all about helping you connect to the strengths and skills you already have and filling in the gaps. She often integrates a somatic approach to therapy, guiding you to understand your emotions through the mind-body connection.

Sessions with Michaela are deeply collaborative. She meets you where you’re at, understanding that each session might look different depending on what you bring into the space that day. Whether unpacking a persistent emotional reaction, understanding patterns, or working through trauma, Michaela is there to reflect, support, and guide you. She believes in change through small, bite-sized steps, not quick fixes.

Michaela has a special interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those who have been diagnosed with autism or ADHD, as well as those who suspect they may be neurodiverse. She takes a strengths-based and affirming approach, creating a supportive space where clients can explore their identity, navigate challenges, and develop strategies that work for them.

Michaela is passionate about supporting queer and trans individuals, providing a space where you can authentically express your identity. As a queer person herself, Michaela understands the complexities of life and offers a safe environment to explore all aspects of who you are. While she loves working with the queer community, Michaela welcomes everyone into her practice, honouring your unique life experiences.

Additionally, Michaela has a special interest in supporting those who experience hormonal shifts, including menstrual cycles, fertility, pre- and post-natal experiences, and other aspects of sexual health. She aims to create a space where you feel seen, validated, and supported in navigating these changes.

If you’re looking for a counsellor who is creative, collaborative and open to all experiences, Michaela is the counsellor for you! Book your first session now!
