Alexa focuses her counselling practice on two main areas: supporting first responders and working with youth ages 13 and older. With youth, Alexa brings her five years of experience as a teacher into the counselling room. She knows that anxiety and life’s challenges can feel huge. From the “small” everyday stressors to the big moments that throw you off course, Alexa loves helping young people find tools and strategies to navigate those moments, while also making space for them to share their stories in a way that feels comfortable.

When working with first responders, Alexa understands the job means walking straight into danger every day, when the instinct for most people is to turn away. She wants to allow first responders to have a space where they can let their guard down and share their experiences. Alexa recognizes the courage and strength it takes to be a first responder and in counselling, she aims to create a space where you can set the heavy things down for a while and just be yourself.
Alexa describes herself as a very open-minded person who believes her clients are the experts in their own lives. She sees counselling as a collaborative process; some days you might want practical tools, other days you might just need someone to listen without judgment. Her goal is to help you feel safe, comfortable, and able to let your guard down, so you can leave each session with exactly what you need.

Session Information

Sessions with Alexa cost $125 per 55 minute individual session.

Session fees can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement if you have coverage for a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

Sessions are available in-person in Kamloops and virtually.​​
